Santino Fontana & Dania Ramirez Star In Indie ‘Galileo’; Gilles Marini Joins ‘A Little Something For Your Birthday’

Santino Fontana and Dania Ramirez star in the upcoming indie rom-com Galileo from director Jay Silverman. Written by Jennifer Goldson, the pic follows an arrogant heir to a Mexican fast-food franchise that goes hunting for the next culinary big thing. He soon finds himself in a small New Mexican town, where foodies come from all over to salivate over the culinary treats of a local and feisty female chef. Makenzie Moss and Maria Conchita Alonso co-star. Silverman exec produced the pic with William Newman, Bethany Cerrona, and Joe Ganache. Fontana is a regular on The CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and is repped by UTA and Brookside Artist Management. Ramirez, repped by ICM Partners and Primary Wave Entertainment, recently wrapped four seasons of Lifetime’s Devious Maids. Moss, repped by Don Buchwald & Associates, appeared in Steve Jobs. Alonso, repped by Maverick Artists Agency and Endorse Management Group, appeared in Desperate Housewives.

Gilles Marini has been cast in A Little Something For Your Birthday, joining Sharon Stone, Tony Goldwyn and Ellen Burstyn. Directed and written by Susan Walter, the film is about an aspiring fashion designer who struggles to find success and love. Rob Carliner, Eric Brenner, Gary Preisler and Matthew Brady will produce, with Cinetel Films repping worldwide rights. Marini film credits include Sex And The City and indie pic Mothers And Daughters. He was a series regular on Lifetime’s Devious Maids and Switched At Birth on Freeform/ABC Family.
